Originally from the eastern shore of Maryland,  I was a  avid sailor around Norfolk, a former Hampton One Design racer and also race/cruise on my Pearson 32 "Sea Dawg" and "Wolff Trap" (a Tartan T33) all around the lower Chesapeake Bay.  Years ago I could not find a local marine repair service that I was happy with so I embarked a new/old career.  A backyard mechanic turned professional after college training under John Rakes TCC diesel training program and ASE/ABYC certification. As a old friend said once "I know a lot of people in this business and I can only trust 50% of them".  Well, Diesel Dawg is out to change this percentage for the better.  I'm a Skipper that helps other boaters with their engines so they will be SAFE and secure on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay! Simple, Straight and most of all HONEST business! I am a Yanmar, Westerbeke mobile dealer and carry many of my stock with me for small/medium engines.  My client list includes:  The Virginia Marine Police, The Coast Guard and famous sailing charter companies like Sailtime.
